444 stainless steel is a high-chromium ferritic stainless steel, containing 17.5% to 19.5% chromium, and dual-stabilized with titanium and niobium. This unique composition provides aisi 444 with excellent corrosion resistance and deep drawing capabilities. Additionally, the steel contains a lower carbon content (maximum 0.025%) and an added molybdenum content ranging from 1.75% to 2.50%, enhancing its ability to withstand harsh environments.
AISI 444 is less prone to sensitization during welding compared to grade 316, making it a reliable choice for welded applications. While it may not be as strong as austenitic stainless steels like 304 and 316, ss444 maintains its strength and durability at high temperatures. This makes it ideal for high-temperature applications, unlike 316L, which is better suited for low-temperature environments.

How We Pack 444 Stainless Steel Coil & Sheet
In GHT, all of our stainless steel coils are packaged as per international standard to prevent any possible damage or loss. By default, for quantity less than 1 whole compete coil (our MOQ is 5 tons), we will use woven plastic bag to cover SS coils and then fix them upon wooden pallet for further protection. We can also package the SS coils as per your special requirement, though this can incur extra cost.
In GHT, all of our stainless steel sheets are packaged as per international standard to prevent any possible damage or loss. By default, we will use brown paper to cover SS sheets and then bundle them together onto wooden pallets. At times, upon some customers’ requests, we will also apply reinforced package with extra metal straps fixed on the four corners, though this can incur extra cost. For enhanced customer experience, we also accept customized package as per your requests.
